Med Coding Appeals Analyst

Med Coding Appeals Analyst position with a focus on accurate adjudication of claims, medical policies, and clinical editing. Requires a BA/BS degree and 2 years related experience, with certifications like CPC or RHIA preferred.

Requirements

• Review medical record documentation in support of Evaluation and Management, CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 code.
• Translates medical policies into reimbursement rules.
• Performs CPT/HCPCS code and fee schedule updates.
• Coordinates research and responds to system inquiries and appeals.
• Conducts research of claims systems and system edits to identify adjudication issues and to audit claims adjudication for accuracy.
• Perform pre-adjudication claims reviews to ensure proper coding was used.
