Requirements

• Operate a multi-needle quilting machine and other equipment
• Load and reload fabric, thread, and bobbins on quilting and/or sewing machines
• Set up quilting machines through loading of backing material and adjusting needle positioning and patterns
• Monitor machine and make adjustments as needed
• Operate a computer related to quilting function
• Maintain workstation in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
• Makes equipment adjustments and repairs sewing & quilting machines and related equipment as necessary
• Inspects, operates, or troubleshoots machinery and related equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
• Cleans or lubricates shaft, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery
• Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts
• Assists in training sewing machine operators in proper setup and operation of machines
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
• Maintains parts inventory
• Develops and maintains maintenance procedures
