QA Data Engineer Lead

We are hiring a QA Data Engineer Lead to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. The role involves designing, implementing, and validating data pipelines, creating single sources of truth for activity data, and exposing Data Products via APIs. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, strong knowledge of Data Modeling, and fluency in Python and SQL.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills for different audiences
• Proven experience in data requirements gathering and analysis
• Strong knowledge of Data Modeling (with emphasis on dimensional modeling)
• Fluency in Python (dataset cleaning and processing)
• Ability to establish lasting and transparent relationships
• Experience in modern data architectures (streaming or real-time), ideally with Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or Snowflake Dynamic Tables
• +6 years of experience in Data Engineering or similar roles, with a focus on creating datasets and models
• Fluency in English (written and spoken mandatory)
• Strong mastery of SQL (T-SQL, window functions, procedures, CTEs) and notions of performance optimization in SQL (Snowflake is a plus)
• Familiarity with B2B performance metrics (ARR, ACV, margin, costs, headcount, etc.)
• Knowledge of tools such as Pentaho Data Integration, Kettle, Apache Hop, Kafka, or similar
