Job Description
The Finishing Operator is responsible for operating finishing equipment to prepare aluminum product for shipping to customer. The role involves learning to safely operate homogenizing furnaces/cooling chamber, using band saw, lathes, and other equipment in the finishing area, and following production schedules to meet customer specifications.
Requirements
- Experience with finishing equipment and/or prior manufacturing experience, specifically using band saws and lathes
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including night shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to cross train
- Ability to read and interpret work documents
- Ability to work with others as a team
- Ability to identify problems and assist in solving them
- Judgment and decision-making abilities to prevent errors and safety hazards
