Job Description
Work as a Crew Member- Mainline Ramming in our Mainline area of the foundry forming and/or setting molds used for the casting of molten iron.
Requirements
- Read and understand blueprints and spec sheets
- Prepare wood and Styrofoam patterns for molding
- Prepare gating, cores, and rigs prior to sand molding process
- Cross train and adhere to product development standards
- Adhere to all housekeeping and safety standards, including the required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Inspect, set, and clamp molds to be cast
- Responsible for the setting of the molds, in preparation for casting
- Measure the mold wall of set mold to ensure that they are within customer tolerance
- Tie down applicable cores to bring them to the proper dimensions
- Ability to train and receive certification on Crane
- Ability to withstand extreme temperatures
- Ability to lift 30 – 60 pounds
