Job Description
A Master Welder is a top-tier welding professional with deep, proven expertise across all welding processes, supporting company goals through outstanding productivity and quality.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Vocational diploma or training in welding
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in welding
- Mastered and excellent understanding of all welding processes (GTAW, GTAW-P, Tri-Pulse, SMAW, SAW, PAW, GMAW, FCAW)
- Ability to perform open root welding in fixed positions
- Ability to work with exotic materials (Aluminum, Carbon Steel, Copper, Stainless Steel, etc.)
- Leads the workforce on assigned shifts with a high focus on quality
- Keeps a neat and tidy work area
- Performs daily, weekly and monthly cleaning of shop areas
- Grinds, polishes, and prepares parts for welding
- Can read and understand blueprints and welding drawings
- Can perform math including algebra and basic trigonometry
- Can fully read and understand welding procedures
- Communicates and directs fitter helper with project assignments
- Maintains impeccable attendance record
- Demonstrates teamwork and effective communication
- Performs tasks in a safe and responsible manner
- Trains and mentors lower-level employees
- Can act as Team Leader in day-to-day operations
