Job Description
We are seeking a highly talented Senior Software Engineer I, backend focused, with deep expertise in Ruby on Rails to join our dynamic engineering squad. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable SaaS applications, mentoring junior engineers, and driving technical excellence across your projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong proficiency in Ruby, Rails, and related web technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization.
- Solid understanding of various database technologies: PostgreSQL, MySQL, and GraphQL.
- Experience with testing frameworks RSpec and/or Minitest.
- Knowledge of background job processing: Amazon SQS, Shoryuken, Sidekiq.
- Understanding of performance optimization, observability, monitoring, and scaling best practices
- Understanding of Git, Github, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven track record of mentoring or leading technical initiatives.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular) is a plus.
