Join our community and experience Emerson College! The Admission Counselor position reports to the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admission and will assist with recruiting, selecting, and enrolling a dynamic class of first-year students to the college.
Requirements
- Recruit students for the college, assisting with meeting the college’s admissions and revenue targets
- Communicate with and advise prospective students as necessary
- Provide counseling to parents, applicants, and guidance counselors regarding the college’s admission policies and procedures
- Maintain communication with prospective students and family members, answering questions and scheduling meetings as required
- Review and evaluate undergraduate admissions applications based on the college’s recruiting goals and standards
- Plan and execute spring and fall recruitment schedules, events, and travel, visiting high schools, attending college fairs, and hosting one-on-one meetings in an assigned geographic area
- Meet with walk-in visitors, handle phone calls, and give presentations to guests who are taking a tour of the college
- Participate in projects as required
- Attend and assist at events and at the Visitor Center as required
- Serve as liaison to on-campus departments and off-campus organizations to help increase the number and quality of applications
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
