Applications Engineer

Emerson is seeking an Applications Engineer to join their North America Power Projects Proposals organization in Cranberry Township, PA. The successful candidate will lead the preparation of power project offers for customers in the power industry, including new generation, retrofits, and renewable power. This role will support the Power and Water Solutions business, driving innovation that makes the world healthier, safer, and more sustainable.

Requirements

• Prepare DCS proposals for power industry projects
• Define proposal strategies that align with customer requirements, organizational goals, and market insights
• Collaborate across teams to validate technical feasibility, engineering requirements, and cost-effective solutions
• Engage directly with customers to communicate Emerson's capabilities and understand application needs
• Develop optimal project cost structures that mitigate technical risk and strengthen competitive positioning
• Support presentations, interviews, and negotiations using deep understanding of customer applications and industry competition
• Partner effectively with sales, engineering, project teams, and global offices as needed to deliver cohesive proposal packages
