Firmware Engineer

As an Embedded Firmware Engineer at Emerson, you'll design and deliver world-class pressure and temperature field instruments used across a wide range of industries. You'll collaborate with talented engineers across global locations, contributing to highly reliable, high-performance products from concept through release.

Requirements

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary local and global development teams
• Design, develop, and test real time embedded systems that meet functional safety and cybersecurity requirements
• Work in an agile development environment that uses Azure DevOps
• Present status updates and development metrics to management
• Lead cross-functional teams through product definition processes
• Plan, lead, and execute software development activities
• Manage code changes using version control tools
• Creation and execution of unit and integration tests for verifying firmware requirements
• Debugging software and hardware/software integration issues
• Release and register product with international standards certifiers
• Prototyping software on custom hardware and performing low-level board bring-up
• Potential to lead two to three engineers by providing work direction, coaching and technical expertise
• Propose improvements to identified software inefficiencies and deficiencies
