R&D Engineer - Laser

Emerson is seeking a R&D Engineer for Laser to support team Betsy. The role involves laser source design, implementation, testing, welding product development, and providing technical support. The ideal candidate will contribute to the technical specifications of the laser system and have a strong understanding of laser safety and performance testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Optical Engineering, Laser Technology, Physics, Electronics Engineering, or related majors.
• 3+ years of experience in laser or optical system research, development, and testing.
• Familiar with laser principles and common laser types.
• Familiar with galvo scanning systems.
• Capable of building test platforms and conducting laser performance tests.
• Knowledge of laser safety norms and testing procedures.
• Good ability to read and write technical documents in English.
• Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork ability.
