This role is responsible for material and inventory control as well as supply chain management. The Supply Chain Manager oversees all aspects of material flow and ensures accuracy and control over inventory, including transactions, procurement, planning, scheduling, cost management, warehousing, receiving, and shipping, to guarantee timely fulfillment of customer orders.
Requirements
- Analyze material consumption/usage to meet Emerson Ex.245C guidelines
- Support forecasted sales while maintaining customer service and inventory investment goals
- Issue written and oral instructions to manage, direct and instruct team of buyers and planners
- Assign duties and examine work for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to policies and procedures
- Support fill rate, inventory reduction and backlog reduction goals
- Oversee stockroom and shipping (logistics) activities and schedules
- Organize and release of materials flow through the plant and between facilities as needed
- Assist with physical inventory coordination/activities
- Assist with implementation of cycle counting program and oversee it once implemented
- Manage the MIN/MAX program to maintain achieve inventory goals (EX245) and maintain appropriate level of inventory to support production requirements
- Assist finance with annual standard cost roll
- Coordinate the S&OP activities for the plant
- Provide Shipping schedules to customers
- Develop and implement strategies to lower Lead Time considering the complete Value Stream
- Drive process improvements in planning and inventory management, including kanban resizing and ISO compliance
- Manage supplier relationship, monitor performance, and publish monthly on-time delivery reports
- Oversee training for materials - related process
- Perform other duties as assigned
