The Associate Professor - Cardiac Surgery (ESJH) role involves serving as a surgeon in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, participating in clinical patient contact, teaching, and scholarship/research, with a focus on robotic cardiac surgery, robotic CABG, and robotic mitral surgery.
Requirements
- Serve as a surgeon in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery in the Department of Surgery, maintaining an active inpatient and outpatient practice at ESJH with a focus on robotic cardiac surgery, robotic CABG, and robotic mitral surgery.
- Assume primary call coverage responsibilities for adult cardiac surgery with the section at ESJH and with Emory Healthcare.
- Participate in ongoing efforts to provide outstanding clinical care; maintain and improve quality and patient safety; enhance access to and management of clinical trials; and develop and refine innovative strategies within the field of cardiothoracic surgery.
- Participate in committees, peer review activities, and Morbidity and Mortality (M&M) case conferences; manage patient workups and procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines; and adopt tools and technologies deemed integral to the practice of cardiac surgery.
