The Production Control Planner is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategic production plans that align with organizational goals for on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and resource optimization.
Requirements
- Develop and manage strategic production schedules and capacity plans to meet delivery, cost, and quality objectives.
- Analyze MRP/ERP data and business forecasts to anticipate material or capacity constraints and make recommendations for resource adjustments.
- Partner with management to establish production priorities and allocate resources based on contractual requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Lead planning meetings with Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to review progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Exercise discretion in adjusting production plans to meet changing priorities, customer needs, or technical constraints.
- Recommend process improvements and workflow enhancements to improve lead time and reduce cost of production.
- Develop reports and dashboards for senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and performance tracking.
- Review and approve work order release strategies and project schedules to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Manage planning parameters and configuration settings within MRP/ERP systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Participate in new product introduction planning, ensuring readiness of materials, processes, and documentation.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior planners and production support staff.
- Support and maintain compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards through planning and documentation controls.
