The Quality Assurance Technician ensures incoming, in-process, and manufactured parts meet established quality standards and engineering requirements. The role performs inspections, documents results, and works cross-functionally to identify and resolve quality issues.
Requirements
- Perform inspections of materials, purchased parts, and internally made parts.
- Document all inspections results using visual, dimensional methods and standards on company documentation forms.
- Review specifications and drawings to understand the product requirements.
- Reject incoming materials that fail to meet quality expectations and report the issue to the concerned department.
- Communicate and help resolve quality-related issues while adhering to project deadlines.
- Assist in developing inspection standards and processes.
- Assist with the coordination of calibrated equipment.
- Recommend improvement measures to processes to ensure quality control standards are met.
- Generate Nonconformance Reports or Corrective Actions when required.
- Assist with updates to the Quality Management System and participate in internal and external audits.
- Work with multiple departments to support production and increase awareness of quality requirements.
