Encoded Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company seeking a Senior Director, Corporate Controller to scale the Company's accounting organization. The role will oversee all accounting activities, including accounting close and consolidation, financial reporting, technical accounting policy, payroll, equity, treasury, risk management, tax and internal controls.
Requirements
- Close and Reporting: Drive continuous improvement surrounding quarter-end close and 409A valuation update timelines
- Technical Accounting: In-house expert for technical accounting matters, managing technical accounting activities in-line with recent GAAP pronouncements
- Internal Controls: Design, document, and maintain a robust internal control environment to ensure financial statement accuracy and safeguard company assets
- Audit & Tax: Manage annual financial audits with external auditors and oversee all Federal, State, and local tax compliance and filings.
- Systems and Tools: Collaborate with business partners to develop Finance IT roadmap, implementing select systems to streamline manual close process and strengthen integrity of financial data
- Partnership: Provide the Leadership Team and Board of Directors with high-impact strategic analysis and business insights, partner and collaborate with senior leaders to meet cross-functional goals
- Team Development: Hire, mentor, and scale a high-performing accounting team to handle increased complexity and growth
