The Lead Building Automation Technician assists in the installation of building automation controls on various commercial job sites. This position is also responsible for complying with Encore Standards for safety, and customer service.
Requirements

- Understand scopes of work and can effectively complete the tasks associated
- Understand common industry tools including applicable testing equipment and how to use them
- Efficiently lead crews on different sized projects and/or more than one
- Communicate, educate and delegate effectively
- Assists in installation of building automation systems
- Pulling wire, working with PLC’s, panel enclosures, raceways and more relevant tasks
- Commercial HVAC trouble shooting skills
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, towers, chillers, metering system steam, electric, CO, air flows, VAV systems, etc.
- Proficient with test meters and wiring diagrams
- Installation of controllers, communications wiring, conduit and field devices in workman like manner
- Attend project specific progress meetings as needed and forward pertinent information to PM
- Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation system and components according to service agreement contracts
- Complete and submit written service orders and reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity
- Basic electrical principals to install and troubleshoot building automation systems
