Manager, Interconnections

Energy Vault is hiring a Manager, Interconnections to lead interconnection strategy and execution for utility-scale BESS, solar, hybrid, and large-load projects across North American power markets. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in interconnection, transmission planning, grid integration, and strong commercial judgment, strategic thinking, and execution capability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related discipline (master’s preferred)
• 8+ years of experience in interconnection, transmission planning, grid integration
• Deep experience with ISO/RTO interconnection processes, with ERCOT strongly preferred; SPP, PJM, MISO, CAISO, or WECC experience highly valued
• Strong knowledge of large load and/or generation interconnection processes across utility and ISO/RTO jurisdictions
• Strong understanding of transmission systems, congestion analysis, network upgrades, and grid reliability considerations
• Experience managing utility and ISO/RTO interconnection applications and coordinating through feasibility, system impact, facilities, and deliverability studies
• Experience overseeing external consultants and technical service providers
• Experience using power system modeling tools (e.g., PSS®E, PowerWorld, PSCAD, or similar)
• Strong communication skills — able to work cross-functionally and present technical outcomes to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership
