Under direct supervision, a Receptionist is responsible for performing general administrative support duties associated with the patient intake process and routine duties within the clinic.
Requirements
- Perform patient check-in and completes all paperwork necessary for the admitting process
- Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately
- Schedule appointments according to office guidelines
- Obtain accurate patient and insurance information
- Copy/scan patient access related hardcopy materials into the electronic medical record
- Prepare charts for patient appointments
- Conduct patient check-out, including pricing services and collecting patient responsibility payments
- Perform record filing and retrieval, and assist with filing registration documentation in electronic medical records
- Confirm next day appointments and alert patients to necessary documentation
- Follow up with patients regarding the Missed Appointment Policy and send out communications
