AI & Agentic Platform Intern (AI & software engineering sandwich placement year) job description at Engelhart in London, UK. The role involves contributing to the design and implementation of Engelhart's central Agentic AI platform, building core agentic infrastructure, integrating tooling, and configuring knowledge bases. The ideal candidate has a passion for AI, Large Language Models, and Generative AI, and is proficient in Python with experience in writing scripts, working with APIs, and building small applications.
Requirements
- Currently studying towards a Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or related technical undergraduate degree at a UK university
- A genuine passion for AI, Large Language Models, and Generative AI
- Proficient in Python, with hands-on experience writing scripts, working with APIs, or building small applications
- Familiarity with cloud concepts or services (preference for AWS), containerisation (Docker), or REST APIs
- A proactive, self-directed learning style
- Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
