Battery Storage Technician I

ENGIE North America is hiring a Battery Energy System Storage (BESS) Tech I for our BESS facilities near McCamey, TX. The position involves executing field response for reactive and planned maintenance activities of select operating standalone battery assets.

Requirements

• Execute preventative maintenance tasks on site specific equipment during monthly – semi-annual – annual maintenance cycles
• Demonstrate reactive maintenance skills, such as basic troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis, to reestablish faulted units
• Complete permits to work, job safety plans (JSPs)
• Conduct lockout tag-out (LOTO) procedures
• Perform last minute risk assessments
• Properly interpret ENGIE’s official documentation
• Create and follow up on work orders and observations created in Maximo
• Conduct site orientations to original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) representatives, independent service provider’s (ISP’s), vendors, and site visitors
• Participate in a Qualified Electrical Worker Competency Skills test
