Job Description
The Electrical Engineer will manage all electrical maintenance activities, develop short and long-term electrical maintenance strategies, and lead a team of site-based engineers and technicians. The job holder will work in a controlled hazardous environment and be responsible for the facility's QA/QC, Root Cause Analysis Program, and Preventive/Predictive/Corrective Electrical Maintenance Programs.
Requirements
- An accredited Electrical Engineering Degree
- Government Certificate of Competency
- Registration as Professional Engineer (an added advantage)
- At least 6-8 years of experience in the maintenance of a large power plant, with 3 years in the capacity of Electrical Engineer
- Leading and managing people
- Use of safe systems of work
- Use of computerized management system (Maximo or SAP)
- Engineering concepts and principles
- Interaction with purchasing, finance and accounting, maintenance, administration and HR
- Budget control and reporting
