As a Solar Technician I, you will support the operation and maintenance of solar power facilities at the Anson Solar Site located in Anson, TX. You will assist in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining photovoltaic inverters, solar panel systems and related equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum diploma or certification in a technical program where you have learned AC/DC electrical theory, understand reading blue prints and schematics, industrial electrical equipment.
- General knowledge of AC/DC voltage, electrical theory, reading one-line and three-line schematics, and operation & maintenance of electrical equipment (e.g., AC/DC breakers, disconnects, MV transformers, NO/NC contactors, and relays)
- Understanding of selecting the proper PPE for electrical work
- Proficiency in reading and understanding switching orders
- Obtain appropriate level of substation training and/or certifications within 12 months of hire date
- Available for on-call duties as required
- A willingness to work night shifts and extended hours, often outdoors in extreme heat or cold
- Readiness to walk, stand, kneel, or crouch for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
