Project Engineer

This opportunity is located within our Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company business, a global leader of mission-critical hardware and systems solutions including precision energetics systems and innovative explosive solutions. The position is located in Simsbury, CT, and requires a senior engineer to drive impactful project execution through technical expertise, project management, and process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field of project management or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with product development and/or complex production operations is preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification not required but desirable
• Required experience includes problem solving/root cause analysis, leadership of multi-function technical teams, project management, technical writing and cost estimating experience
• Support the development, monitoring and management of project budgets
• Must have or be able to obtain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance and be capable of working on U.S. DoD and ITAR restricted products
• Strong interpersonal and written communication
• Proficient with Microsoft office suite software (Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
