Job Description: Supplier Development Engineer – Electronics at Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager in Moorpark, CA, this position involves tracking and reporting on supplier KPI's, creating strategic action plans, and selecting and qualifying suppliers.
Requirements
- Track, monitor, and report on key Supplier KPI's, including quality and delivery metrics.
- Create and implement strategic action plans to resolve systemic challenges, driving sustainable change/improvement.
- Identify, select, and qualify Suppliers that align with future Company goals while ensuring they meet quality, delivery, and cost standards.
- Assess supplier capacity, capability, and risk for existing and new programs.
- Support commodity strategies and dual sourcing initiatives.
- Provide advice and guidance in interpreting and adapting quality standards and government regulations.
- Drive improvements utilizing Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Problem-solving tools.
- Analyze design reliability and quality to recommend process changes and enhancements.
- Support and drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) in the early product design phase.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align on requirements and resolution of systemic issues.
- Analyze data effectively, summarize results, create reports, and use visual management tools effectively.
- Track action plans from Supplier audits and assessments and monitor their activity for completion and correctness consistently.
