Supplier Development Engineer - Machining

This opportunity is located within our Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company business, a global leader of mission-critical hardware and systems solutions. EBAD seeks an accomplished engineer for the position of Supplier Development Engineer – Machining reporting to the Supply chain Manager.

Requirements

• Track, monitor, and report on key Supplier KPI’s, including quality and delivery metrics.
• Create and implement strategic action plans to resolve systemic challenges, driving sustainable change/improvement.
• Identify, select, and qualify Suppliers that align with future Company goals while ensuring they meet quality, delivery, and cost standards.
• Assess supplier capacity, capability, and risk for existing and new programs.
• Support commodity strategies and dual sourcing initiatives.
• Provide advice and guidance in interpreting and adapting quality standards and government regulations.
• Drive improvements utilizing Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Problem-solving tools.
• Analyze design reliability and quality to recommend process changes and enhancements.
• Support and drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) in the early product design phase.
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align on requirements and resolution of systemic issues.
• Analyze data effectively, summarize results, create reports, and use visual management tools effectively.
• Track action plans from Supplier audits and assessments and monitor their activity for completion and correctness consistently.

Benefits

• Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 per year
