The Manufacturing Operator role produces high-quality plastic components from resin pellets. The job involves monitoring and inspecting presses, performing second operations, and following Standard Operating Procedures. Hours are 2PM-10PM Monday-Friday.
Requirements
- Uses different fixtures to verify that the dimensions of the molded parts are in accordance with quality and work order requirements.
- Performs different operations on molded products using a variety of cutting tools and techniques and by closely following standard operating procedures.
- Safely removes molded parts from the machine conveyor belt or robotic arm by using appropriate protective gear and handling tools.
- Places molded parts in designated cooling area to allow for controlled cooling processes.
- Carefully handles molded materials to the oven for baking process.
- Packages finished orders in accordance with specifications, ensuring proper protection and handling.
- Uses SAP and other electronic systems to find, record and generate documentation throughout the production process.
- Records all output and production data in ERP systems and maintains compliance with all online training and documentation requirements.
- Ensures product is consistent with established specifications through Camline software by utilizing different measuring tools, such as calipers and drop/height indicators.
- Escalates quality issues to supervisor or to quality department as appropriate.
- Works with setup technician in the Injection molding department to troubleshoot issues with molding machines and implement any adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with materials handler to ensure inventory replenishment of raw materials for molding machine.
- Finalizes all required paperwork thoroughly and in timely manner.
- Maintains accurate attribute/variable charts of rejected materials.
- Integrates on all key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness and product/system quality.
- Promotes and implements use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value activities.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s, Kaizen events, etc.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Performs duties in a safe manner and observes approved safety procedures.
- Communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor.
- Completes miscellaneous tasks assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.
- Understand documentation (ASP, DWG, etc) to ensure the production of quality parts.
- Utilize Stop Work Authority (SWA) for both Safety and Quality as needed.
