Job Description
Our Colorado Springs, CO site is seeking a Senior Automation and Controls Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced automation systems for our flagship manufacturing facility. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert, driving complex automation projects from concept through implementation, ensuring safety, reliability, and scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- 6-10 years of experience in industrial automation and controls engineering
- Expert-level proficiency in PLC programming (Allen Bradley/Rockwell), HMI/SCADA systems, and motion control
- Strong background in robotics integration (Fanuc, ABB, or similar)
- Deep understanding of industrial networks, safety systems, and standards
- Proven track record of leading large-scale automation projects
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
