Physician

Physician provides comprehensive primary and integrated healthcare services to individuals enrolled in outpatient behavioral health, psychiatric rehabilitation, substance use treatment, and primary care programs.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Maryland Board of Physicians license (MD or DO)
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an LCME- or COCA-accredited medical school
• Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency program in: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics (preferred depending on population served)
• Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (board certification preferred)
• Valid DEA registration and Maryland CDS (Controlled Dangerous Substances) registration
• Minimum 2–3 years of post-residency clinical experience in: Primary care, Community health, Integrated care, behavioral health, or complex patient populations (preferred)
• Experience coordinating care with external providers, specialists, hospitals, and pharmacies
• Experience with MAT services (buprenorphine, naltrexone, etc.) strongly preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification (ACLS preferred but optional depending on scope)
• Ability to obtain and maintain professional liability/malpractice insurance
• Must be eligible for credentialing with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payers
