The Industrial Engineer will provide direction to improve the organization's overall production processes, systems, and procedures. The Industrial Engineer is responsible for analyzing operations, working with operations personnel to design optimal workflows and production processes, increasing efficiencies, and assisting to ensure that final products meet established quality standards.
Requirements
- Review production processes, systems, and procedures with the intent of promoting a culture of continuous improvement
- Make recommendations and implement continuous improvement programs for production processes, as well as processes that are upstream from production
- Monitor market for production and associated technology innovations and make upgrade recommendations to management when necessary
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of management controls systems focusing on improving efficiency, reducing waste and minimizing cost
- Assist with the continuous improvement of quality control procedures to resolve production quality challenges
- Conduct workflow and time studies to optimize production throughput, capacity and personnel requirements
- Develop and maintain KPIs relating to production quality and efficiency
- Help develop and manage process documentation and share production efficiency analyses with operations as needed
