Plant Maintenance Technician (Ready Mix)

We have an opening for a Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team in the HRM! This role is responsible for all repairs on plant equipment including the ready-mix plants, concrete reclaimers and conveyors.

Requirements

• Analyze sources of trouble or failures, devise repair methods and proceed with repair work
• Assemble, install and adjust a variety of bearings, bushings, shafts, gears, and pins
• Inspect, lubricate and adjust machinery as needed
• Repair / replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, cutting torches and welding equipment
• Rebuild or fabricate parts when necessary
• Operate power / hand tools and welding equipment (electric or gas)
• Observe all health, safety and environmental rules and practices while maintaining safe and organized workspaces
• Conduct site hazard assessments and various other checks
