Steel Detailer

Ocean Steel has an exciting opportunity for a Detailer with a desire to continue learning on the job. The Detailer will develop extensive steel product knowledge and follow department procedures for preparation of drawings, and bills of material. This position requires high attention to detail, to analyze schedules, specifications, architectural, structural, and steel fabricator drawings.

Requirements

• Civil Engineering Technology graduate or previous experience in the construction industry along with the ability to read blueprints
• Experience with architectural drafting or detailing software
• Previous experience in the construction industry is an asset
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization
