Archaeological Field Technician (On-Call)

We are seeking an On-Call Archaeological Field Technician in the Northwest Region, including Seattle, WA, Portland, and Bend, OR. The successful candidate will perform archaeological and/or paleontological monitoring, write and maintain written daily surveys, monitoring, recordation, and cataloging logs, and communicate with construction crews and project personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in archaeology/anthropology or related field
• Six months of field experience or relative academic field experience in the Northwest Region
• Ability to use app-based software for field recordation and mapping
• Knowledge of archaeological materials common to the region
• Ability to walk long distances carrying a backpack and lift at least 40 pounds
• Physical ability to work in various weather conditions and terrain
