Environmental Science Associates (ESA) is seeking a Senior Coastal Engineer to lead their coastal engineering and resilience practice across California and beyond. The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience in coastal engineering, leadership skills, and a passion for coastal processes, coastal hazards, and resilience planning.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in coastal engineering, including expertise in nature-based solutions, coastal resilience planning, and coastal hazards analysis
- Professional Engineer's license in California, Washington, and/or Oregon
- Bachelor's degree or higher in coastal engineering or a closely related discipline
- Leadership skills and experience managing complex coastal engineering projects
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for coastal processes, coastal hazards, and resilience planning
- Familiarity with Living Shorelines, nature-based solutions, and multi-benefit flood and erosion protection
