Medical Assistant I - CONTRACT - Coppell

We have an exciting opportunity available for a CONTRACT Medical Assistant which is onsite in Coppell, TX at Questcare Medical Clinic, Primary Care. The Medical Assistant will perform clinical functions such as taking history and vital signs, documenting results, coordinating lab and prescription orders, and assisting with minor office procedures. This role also assures optimal patient flow within the clinical areas and communicates issues with physicians, clinical, administrative staff, and management.

Requirements

• Take patient vital signs, medical histories, prepare patient for tests or examinations, explain procedures to patient, assist physician during exam, calling in prescriptions to pharmacies and may prepare patient (depending on location) for X-rays.
• Frequent communication with physicians and MLP's to discuss patient concerns requiring thorough knowledge of processes and issues.
• Following standard operating procedures for Medical Assistants, you will perform basic medical procedures including cleaning and dressing patient wounds and/or removing sutures and staples as directed by the MLP or Physician.
