A highly skilled UPS Field Engineer is needed to apply an in-depth knowledge of UPS start-up, testing, and operations. The role involves commissioning, maintenance, and emergency support for power electronics at customer sites in South Florida.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience
- Skilled in troubleshooting equipment such as UPS, batteries, PDUs, STSs, etc.
- Proficient with hand tools and test equipment for maintenance and repairs
- Strong verbal, written communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with resourcefulness and initiative
- Knowledge of equipment manufacturers’ specifications
- Physically capable of bending and lifting up to 100 lbs as required
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and be on-call when needed
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software
- OEM factory training or experience with brands such as Emerson/Liebert/Vertiv, APC/MGE/Schneider, or Eaton/Powerware/PDI is required
- A technical degree (e.g., DeVry, Lincoln Tech) is a plus
- Military veterans with experience in Electrical/Mechanical systems are highly valued (Navy EMN, ETN, MMNs, Army Power Generation, Air Force Power Production, Coast Guard, etc.)
- Must have a clean driving record
