Job Description
We are hiring up to two full-time, permanent Apprentice Power Line Technicians to work with our Electricity Distribution team out of Edmonton, AB. As an Apprentice, you will learn to perform skilled and hazardous electrical work on the electric grid, including installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground power lines and cables.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent level of secondary education
- Official high school transcripts with pass marks in Alberta
- Completion of electrical theory course(s) or a 2-year technical diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, or current electrical trades certification
- Valid Class 5 (or higher) Alberta Motor Vehicle Operators License with no more than six demerits
- Ability to acquire a Class 1 Driver's License within one year of the start date
- Previous experience in construction, electrical, or utility environments
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification
- Successful completion of a pre-employment aptitude test and physical assessment
