Job Description
Senior Freight Coordinator responsible for overseeing commercial freight cycle, leading high-stakes negotiations, and optimizing economic performance of maritime transports.
Requirements
- Higher education degree in international trade, logistics, maritime law, finance, or an equivalent field
- Minimum 15 years of experience in dry bulk freight with proven history of fixtures on Capesize and Supramax segments
- Experience on West Africa corridors (Gabon, Senegal, CĂ´te d'Ivoire, Ghana) is a significant asset
- Experience with Eramet's primary materials (manganese ore, alloys, ilmenite, bauxite) is appreciated
- Mastery of voyage calculation tools, maritime operational management systems, and advanced Excel; comfortable with data visualization tools
- Good knowledge of freight indices, FFAs, and maritime regulations (IMO 2020, CII/EEXI, EU ETS)
- Excellent negotiation skills on complex contractual terms
- Calm under pressure, decisive, excellent communicator in a multicultural environment
- Fluent English is required; French is an asset
- Regional and international travel (Asia, West Africa, Europe); flexibility on time zones for coverage of different time zones
