Job Description
Join ERCOT's diverse and dynamic work environment as a Power Systems Modeling Engineer 3, developing transmission system models for the Texas power grid and wholesale market. As a key member of the team, you'll work on industry-leading power systems modeling and model management, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build transmission system models. Key responsibilities include developing operational models, managing transmission system model software infrastructure, and developing tools to assist in managing transmission models.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience with developing and maintaining software in at least one of the following programming languages: C#, Java, Python
- Experience with at least one of the following power system simulators: PowerWorld, PSS/E, ASPEN One-liner
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage projects, and stakeholder groups
