ERM is seeking a motivated Consultant – Impact Assessment/ Biodiversity to join their team in Bucharest. The role involves impact assessment and permitting, environmental and social due diligence, field baseline data collection, and producing biodiversity-related studies. The ideal candidate has a university degree in Ecology/Biology, minimum 3 years of experience in biodiversity impact assessment, and knowledge of GIS mapping, Romanian permitting procedures, and European Directives.
Requirements
- University degree/ Master of Science in Ecology / Biology or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in biodiversity impact assessment and permitting projects
- Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: biodiversity and ecological services (both field work/ baseline data collection and desktop assessments based on national and international standards)
- Fluency in English and Romanian
- Advance knowledge of German and/ or other languages would be an advantage
- Previous experience in a similar consulting environment would be an advantage
- Project management skills

- Ability to work under pressure and deal with multiple tasks and projects in parallel, under strict budgets and deadlines
- Interpersonal skills and team orientation
- Willingness to travel and perform work in country and internationally (special focus in Hungary)
- Excellent computer skills are a must
- Driving license and willingness to drive on-site if necessary
