HGV Mechanic is responsible for carrying out the repair, maintenance and inspection of vehicles & plant and equipment in accordance with legislation guidelines, policies and procedures and manufacturer recommendations.
Requirements
- Maintenance up-keep and repair of HGV & LGV vehicles & equipment.
- General Application Certification of hoists and cranes.
- To complete work to a high standard in accordance with legislation guidelines, policies and procedures and report all defects to Lead Mechanic and/or Fleet Supervisor.
- To complete all work safely and contribute positively to the development of the team and self.
- To carry out tasks/responsibilities and test and certification of vehicles and equipment assigned in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- To provide excellent customer service.
- To maintain knowledge and skills in order to carry out full range of duties in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.
- To work well both as a team member and on own initiative to assist in the achievement of business objectives.
