The Sr. Manufacturing Operations Manager directs the manufacture of prescription eyewear in a high volume, 24 hour production environment. The role involves leading supervisors and production teams, maintaining a safe working environment, and promoting a culture of associate engagement.

Requirements

• Supervises direct reporting staff according to EssilorLuxottica Characteristics
• Formulates department/lab specific policies and practices
• Provides a safe working environment for all associates
• Responsible for the achievement of lab/department productivity and quality goals
• Sets performance objectives using key leading & lagging metrics
• Establishes and maintains controls
• Manages projects as assigned by the Director
• Assigns priorities & manages projects including scope, schedules & deadlines
• Delegates projects to appropriate associates & empowers them
• Determines staffing requirements and coordinates hiring activities
• Recommends & supports training as appropriate for departments
• Counsels associates to develop skills within their potential
• Plans and implement procedures and systems to continuously improve Operations
• Coordinates financial and budget activities for maximum operational efficiency
• Develops justifications & cost benefits analyses
• Facilitates the preparation and analysis of reports
• Organizes and manages business meetings
