Operate all types of equipment to perform safety functions, drive tractor/trailer in transportation of freight, and maintain records in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local laws. Adhere to FMCSA regulations, inspect vehicles, and provide professional service to customers. Assist with local pick up and delivery routes, hub/regional runs, and dock work as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or any combination of education and experience
- 21 years of age
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Hazmat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to push or pull a loaded pallet jack and/or hand truck with a minimum load of 70lbs
- Ability to provide an acceptable MVR
- Ability to meet the FMCSA’s requirements to speak and read English
- Ability to lift approximately 70 lbs.
- Ability to drive all routes and in all types of terrain, including mountains, steep inclined roads, curvy highways, desert areas, bridges, tunnels, etc.
- Ability to drive in a wide range of environmental conditions, including rain, wind, snow, freezing temperatures, hot weather, etc.
- Ability to operate all safety and operational functions of equipment, including chaining tires, driving manual and/or automatic transmission vehicles, etc.
- Ability to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
- Ability to interact well with others
- Ability to work independently, or in a team setting
- Ability to work under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
