Performance Engineer

esVolta is a leading developer, owner and operator of utility-scale energy storage projects across North America. We are seeking a Performance Engineer to support performance optimization and contractual reporting for operational battery energy storage assets throughout the USA.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in energy storage.
• ABET accredited bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or data science (Masters preferred).
• Highly proficient in software engineering with experience in Python, SQL, data visualization, and artificial intelligence.
• Experience working with Cloud computing services and databases.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and data mining techniques such as regression, multilevel regression, forecasting, decision trees, etc.
• Familiarity with SCADA, communication protocols, and controls.
• Proficient at breaking down goals into tangible and actionable work plans.
• Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, including an ability to maintain calm and effective exchanges by all parties during stressful situations, and executive level reporting that ensures timely action and decision making in time-pressured scenarios.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem solving, organizational and leadership skills.
• Grit, strong work ethic, and passionate about the energy sector.
