Veterinary Emergency Department Technician Supervisor - DCES

The Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty in Bowie, MD is hiring a full-time Emergency Department Technician Supervisor! The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the ER team, performing technical and administrative functions, and ensuring quality patient and client care. The ER Department Supervisor reports directly to the Hospital Operations Manager.

Requirements

• Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and E-mail especially)
• Adequate typing skills (30 wpm)
• Electronic PIMS and Whiteboard experience preferred
• Ability to lead and direct others in a professional and kind manner
• Ability to respond effectively and with compassion to client and coworker questions and concerns
• Understand and carry out oral and written orders
• Manage time effectively and meet stated deadlines
• Manage and support change in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Maintain a harmonious and cooperative relationship with coworkers, direct reports, and veterinarians
• Build strong partnerships with hospital leadership to ensure understanding and communication of hospital goals

• Mentor team members while actively working alongside them by modeling the hospitals professional and care standards
