The European Endowment for Democracy (EED) is a grant-making organisation which has been established by the EU Member States and the European Union institutions to foster and encourage democratisation and deep and sustainable democracy.
Job Description
The European Endowment for Democracy is seeking consultants to assess grant financial reports. Consultants will review financial reports, verify correctness and compliance, and provide coaching on financial management. The position is for a roster of experts who will work remotely and may receive assignments for 1-5 days at a time.
Requirements
- at least 5 years of proven full-time professional experience in audit, grant management, administrative and financial management of projects
- thorough knowledge of one or more of the following languages: English and Russian, Romanian, Georgian, Kazakh, Uzbek, Tajik, Turkmen or Kyrgyz languages
- solid ICT skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- ability to keep full confidentiality about all assigned tasks and related documentation
- ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- ability to develop strong coordination with EED in-house staff
