Under the general direction of the Department Manager, the Dosimetrist works closely with the Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicist, Manager of Radiation Oncology and Radiation Therapists. Interprets the prescription for a course of radiation therapy and generates radiation dose distributions and calculations for each patient.
Requirements
- Licensed with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Medical Dosimetry Certification Board eligible, certified within 2 years of hire
- Current Washington State Licensure in Radiologic Technology/Therapeutic.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS - American Heart Association by start date
- Graduate from an accredited program of Dosimetry
- Experience with Radiation Oncology treatment planning and related systems
- Knowledge of charge capture for dosimetry procedure billing
