Residential Counselor - Autism Program

Evolve Treatment Centers is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Residential Counselor to join their team. The ideal candidate is experienced, dedicated, and excited about working with autistic adolescents with mental health and substance abuse issues.

Requirements

• Provide one-to-one support and supervision to autistic clients struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues
• Establish positive and nurturing relationships with the clients
• Maintain vigilance and awareness of the milieu
• Engage in activities with the clients
• Create a constructive therapeutic community
• Conduct and facilitate psycho-education groups and recreational activities
• Perform crisis management and interventions as necessary
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all shift activities
• Oversee and participate in meal-times and assist clients with life skills
