Accountant

Exact Sciences is looking for an Accountant to join their team, responsible for maintaining general ledger accounts and business transactions, applying GAAP, and preparing financial reports. The role involves daily cash and bank reconciliation reports, general account analysis, and compliance with government regulations. Requirements

• Maintain accounting policies and procedures in compliance with applicable government regulations;
• Process cash receipts and record revenue and receivables;
• Perform daily cash and bank reconciliation reports and record corresponding journal entries;
• Perform general account analysis and reconciliations;
• Assist in financial statement preparation through account classifications and transactional coding;
• Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit;
• Calculate and issue financial analysis of the financial statements;
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system;
• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management;
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements;
• Engage in assignments for upper management to address long-term planning and risk assessments, as needed;
