Senior Molecular Technologist

Exact Sciences is seeking a Senior Molecular Technologist to join their team. The role involves performing high complexity laboratory testing on patient specimens, including nucleic acid isolation and next-generation sequencing. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, and 3+ years of pertinent clinical laboratory experience.

Requirements

• Perform processing of patient samples using molecular biology protocols governed by standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Extract nucleic acids from sample types
• Construct DNA/RNA libraries and NGS
• Operate liquid handling robots
• Participate in a cross-functional coordinated effort to identify complex process issues
• Troubleshoot complex instrumentation issues
• Document activities and results in LIMS and worksheets
• Perform environmental health and safety functions
• Act as a point of contact for the temperature alarm systems
